My photography journey started on my first trip to Japan. I wanted a way to hold onto everything I was seeing, like the streets, the castles, the little moments that make a place feel real, so I picked up a camera, and I haven't put it down since.

What began as travel photos on that trip slowly turned into something bigger. I found myself falling for landscape photography, first chasing good light, waiting for the right moment, learning to see a scene before I ever raised the camera. From there, I got curious about portraits too, both of people and the odd interesting object that catches my eye, always looking for the small details in things.

I'm also a big fan of Teo Crawford's work on YouTube, watching his videos has taught me a lot and pushed me to think differently about how I approach a shoot.

These days I shoot on a mix of Sony and Canon gear, switching between them depending on the shoot. I'm still learning something new every time I go out, and that's part of what keeps me hooked, that there’s always another angle, a hidden detail, a new story to tell.

Whether it's a sweeping landscape or a portrait session, I try to bring the same curiosity that got me into this in the first place: a genuine want to capture something real.
